Before booking: Confirm who contracts the ceremony and reception, which payments cover each component, and which inclusions will apply after the operator change. Ask for a ballroom layout showing your guest count, dance floor and entertainment, rather than using a cocktail maximum as a seated capacity. Check garden access, the weather contingency and photography arrangements. Make sure the venue, operator and suppliers all have the same booking date and agreed schedule.
