The couples I work with are all of different ages, genders, shapes and sizes, but the one thing they have in common is that they all value their wedding ceremony as the beginning of their marriage. They want to celebrate this important transitional event with their families and friends through a uniquely their ceremony. If that sounds like you, please read on!

I provide you with a comprehensive ceremony builder booklet with lots of ideas and samples for things you might want to include in your ceremony. I’m completely open to whatever traditional or whacky ideas you would like to incorporate, and I am good enough that I can manage anything you throw at me. I am organised and efficient, so you don’t have to worry about chasing me up or reminding me to book your rehearsal – I’m all over it!

I’m highly likely to be just as excited (if not more so at times!) as you are about your wedding day. However, as much as I love to have fun on the day, I am also across every little detail. I want you to be able to enjoy your ceremony and relax completely, knowing that I have it all in hand.

Our History

After spending 20 years in the corporate world, I was looking for something different but was unsure what I wanted to do. I had toyed with the notion of running my own business but never knew how I was going to do this and what specifically I was going to do. It was May 2010, and I came across a business that had been in operation for a few years, and it was based in Brisbane and was for sale.

Groovy Glass commenced back in 1996 in Queensland. Originally trading as Nicole Ritchie Designs. Groovy Glass supplied glasses to the gift industry, and this soon became extremely popular with Brides & Grooms. Etched and frosted glasses have a modern and contemporary look; customers kept using the word “Groovy” to describe them; this is how the name Groovy Glass was born. Nicole & her sister Justine have now set up another wedding business called beautifulweddings.com.au, specialising in the styling of weddings.

Groovy Glass offered me the uniqueness of being creative, which I love and something new for me, actually being involved in the product's manufacture, which was a whole new ball game for me. Learning a host of new skills for this middle age duck was frightening and exciting.

After a few months of going over it and realising this was something that I wanted to do, we (the royal we my very supportive hubby) made the big leap of faith and bought the business. So in September 2010, together with my husband Andrew, it was all official, and we took over Groovy Glass and relocated the business to Victoria.

For the past ten years, we have grown the business to cover one-off individual orders and expand and grow both the corporate awards business and corporate glassware. Anyone who has gone into the business will tell you that running your own business is hard work and is full of blood, sweat and tears. It has not been easy, but now that we have passed the ten-year mark of being in business, I’m proud of where we have come from and what we have done. Our main specialty is smaller runs of branded glassware and crystal awards for corporate clients. It is ironic that 11 years ago, I was working in the corporate world and wanting to get away but now have come full circle and working back with corporate companies. You can take the girl out of….

It all started with our family restaurant.

Over 100 years ago, our Great Grandfather began distilling traditional ouzo to accompany the chargrilled seafood served at the family restaurant next door. His obsession for good food and even better aperitivo became embedded in our family culture. About Us

Certified Same Sex Wedding Celebrant

I’m Bronte Price. I’m a registered marriage celebrant. I’m also gay, and I’m the first celebrant in Australia to complete the Gay and Lesbian Weddings (The Equality Institute, USA). This certification has taught me the many options that can make up LGBTIQ weddings. Over the last 20 years, I have been a senior executive in state government. The positions I held made sure I knew how to relate and deal with a range of people and keep calm under pressure. Earlier in my career, I was a teacher of English and Drama. It taught me how to write your ceremony, so it’s authentic, memorable and, of course, romantic. It also taught me how to make the best use of the ceremony space.

I planned my wedding.

I became engaged to my feyoncé, Clint, the night of the “Yes” vote announcement, which laid down the legal path for LGBTIQ people like us to get married. We got married on our 8th anniversary in April 2019. Our own experiences in planning our wedding and those of the couples I’ve married in the past teach us something similar. There’s nothing more disastrous or regrettable than having a wedding that doesn’t reflect your personality, values, and who and what you are. So, Clint and I had a wedding that mirrored who we are and how we live. We wanted a gay wedding, not a straight wedding. And so, we made sure our wedding day was the best day of our lives. The entire day revolved around our marriage ceremony and focused on celebrating our love. It was a day that our guests and we would remember for a long time. I’d love to help you do the same!

I have a pretty deep understanding of how vastly different LGBTIQ weddings can be from straight weddings, apart from the gendered roles that underpin most straight weddings. Many rituals and traditions can have an LGBTIQ twist or replacement if couples wish. I co-founded The Equality Network to provide inclusivity training to wedding suppliers and educate people about those differences to help ensure that LGBTIQ couples are delivered a wedding that reflects their way of life and who they are. That training helps suppliers cater to LGBTIQ weddings more personally and sensitively.

I hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116). In 2019, I trained Marriage Celebrants across Australia in various topics approved by the Attorney-General’s Department. This compulsory training ensured those celebrants kept their currency and registration.

 

Through the Celebrants Training College, I also offer Funeral Celebrancy training. This 2-day course ensures participants are well-equipped to begin their funeral celebrity careers.

 

I also conduct LGBTIQ+ Sensitivity Training for corporates, wedding suppliers and funeral workers. This helps them work respectfully and with members of the LGBTIQ+ community. This training lasts for one full day – and is engaging, fun and, at times, confronting.

My Story

Holy Smoke Candle Co started from my love of fragrances, homewares & minimalist luxury. Spirits are Best Shared, and so Are Stories

We founded The Aisling Distillery in 2014 to specialise in Small Batch Premium Single Malt Whisky, Rum and more recently, Gin. We wanted to capture the Riverina, also known as “the food bowl of Australia”, its sheer beauty of the Griffith Region, New South Wales, the heart of the Murrumbidgee that is home to so many Traditions.

We are a family-run distillery with Mark having a Trade of Engineering behind him. We wanted to capture his knowledge, expertise and sheer brilliance and transform that quality into quality Spirits. We use locally sourced Barley. At Aisling Distillery, we have an efficient outlook on our daily routines. Our Spirit runs are slow to give us the smooth, soft craft spirit we know everyone will enjoy; our Whisky is big and bold and has a lasting palate feel long after your tasting experience. Flavours to cherish. It’s all handcrafted, from greeting our barley to filling the cask.

The Aisling Distillery was born with the love of my Scottish Heritage as I was born in the mid-seventies in Griffith, NSW. Being raised in Griffith surrounded by an Italian community rich in culture and heritage. I knew that I was of Scottish ancestry. The problem with being of Scottish heritage being raised in Griffith was that I had no identity regarding my past. The Italians had nice bread, salami, wine, olives, anti-pasta and a European language.

I felt that I had nothing, but I needed to be in touch with something. I didn't know where I came from; I was just an Aussie boy growing up in a town full of people with rich cultures and stories dating back generations. So being of Scottish heritage, I thought that it was my birthright that I produce something from my past.

As I have embarked on my journey into my heritage, I’ve realised the first descendants arrived in Benalla, VIC and settled in Tungamah, VIC. The land where they lived and worked from 1875-to 1920 was “BURNSIDE” Hill Plain Road. This farm is still today being worked by a local Griffith Lady that married a Tungamah Lad and now lives on “BURNSIDE” over the past few years; they’ve harvested “Planet” & “Hindmarsh” Barley.

Along with my journey, we travel into the fate of East meets West. Fifteen years ago, I met my now wife, Michelle, who has Dutch Heritage, and with that, we embarked on this journey together. We had a brief discussion about a Distillery, so Michelle sent me to Tasmania to meet Bill Lark. Well, that was a decision made, and here we are, a Scotsman and a Dutchwoman, two dreams that have come together and are producing amazing Spirits. It is an amazing journey, life-changing, and memories being made with our family.

Boxes

We sell boxes that are of different materials, sizes and shapes. They are sold plain or decorated. We have rectangular and square cardboard boxes. The standard cardboard box that we sell is a rectangular matt white box that has the following approximate dimensions: 65cm x 40cm x 10cm high. We also have two rectangular timber toy boxes. One has a softer close lid with approximate dimensions: 60cm x 40cm x 30cm high. This box comes in plain white. The other is with a scalloped edge lid that is approximately 58cm x 32.5cm, and the box height is approximately 35.5cm. (The approximate internal dimensions are: 54cm x 25.5cm x 27.5cm high).
