Do you know someone who got married or held an event at the Brighton Savoy?
A project I have always wanted to create was an archive of weddings and events held at the Brighton Savoy. Since the early 1950’s, the Brighton Savoy has hosted more than 12,000 weddings and I know many memories and moments have been captured over the years.
I am reaching out to couples who may have been married at the Hotel, photographers and videographers, who may have images, film or video of weddings that took place at the Brighton Savoy from the 1950’s to today.
The archive is seeking images that clearly identify the hotel, for example, backgrounds, views, function rooms, lobby and so on. Please check your archives and provide me images. What a wonderful way to reminisce during our current lockdown. I would of course credit all images.

As part of the historical archive project we under took during Covid-19 Lockddown, We were provided with this wonderful video of the weddingof Morag & Ian Barker who were married in the Gala Room Saturday 28th November 1970 over 51 years ago, Morag and ian are happily married and living in South Australia. We are delighted and grateful to have come across this hidden gem. Morag reflects “I must say it was a lovely reception & had our family & friends talking about it for many months. Such praise could only be attributed to the efforts put in by everyone at the Brighton Savoy & I mean every word of that.”
