Rehab For Marijuana Addiction In Melbourne

At our facility in Melbourne, we are seeing an increase in the number of patients seeking treatment for an addiction to marijuana.

Over the course of the past few decades, there has been a gradual increase in the western world's tolerance for marijuana use. This has accelerated in recent times, in part because it has recently been legalised in more states in the United States.

Access was also made legal in the state of Victoria in 2016, at which time physicians were granted the ability to prescribe the drug to patients meeting certain medical criteria.

Simply because a drug is given the green light to be sold legally does not mean that it is free of the potential to become habit forming or addictive.

Approximately nine percent of people who try marijuana end up becoming addicted to it (source). The majority of people experiment with drugs for the first time during their teenage years and then begin using them again at some point during their adulthood.

Heroin Treatment Centre

In recent years, the use of heroin in Australia has reached nearly epidemic levels, putting the country on the verge of a public health crisis. This is something that particularly applies to younger generations. According to the Alcohol and Drug Foundation, nearly 2% of Australians aged 14 and older have tried the drug at some point in their lives, and that percentage is steadily growing.

Heroin has a very high potential for abuse, which is why so many people seek treatment at REFOCUS. If you are looking for heroin rehab in Melbourne, feel free to give us a call or continue reading for more information. This article will hopefully help those who are affected understand how this drug works as well as why it can be dangerous to manage the withdrawal process on one's own.

Arrow Health: Inpatient & Outpatient Alcohol Rehab Centers In Melbourne Doctors Trust

Addiction is among the most challenging conditions a physician may encounter. Even though there has been progress in both research and treatment, the disease of addiction is still seen as socially unacceptable. There are many situations that need to be handled with care and delicacy. It's never easy to see the effects of alcoholism on a patient and their loved ones. An inpatient programme may be necessary depending on the extent of your patient's addiction. With the help of a contemporary, evidence-based, and sympathetic treatment programme, they can beat their addiction. So thinks Arrow Health in terms of its approach to patient care.

We can aid in your patients' recoveries by providing a secure, trigger-free environment and employing sympathetic, tried and true methods of care. A referral facility can be located with relative ease. We know how difficult it can be to find suitable inpatient alcohol treatment facilities for your patients in Melbourne. Think about the high points of the Arrow Health programme.

Why Make A Referral To Our Inpatient Alcohol Rehab In Melbourne?

Removing the alcoholic from their current environment can be helpful during the rehabilitation process. At Arrow Health's drug-free centres, patients can get the round-the-clock help they need to successfully start an abstinence-based treatment plan. The on-site facilities, programmes, and services provide a clutter-free setting ideal for healing.

Drug & Alcohol Rehab Treatment Clinics FAQs

The Hader Clinic - Drug & Alcohol Rehab Treatment Clinic Melbourne

Hader

rayhaderclinic.com.au

1800 957 453

TREATING DRUG ADDICTION WITH HOLISTIC CARE

Addiction is a complex illness that can affect every aspect of life. It's not just for idiots. Addiction cannot be controlled, so there is no "functioning" addict. Addiction doesn't just "go away." The Hader Clinic, which treats drug addiction, is aware of these misunderstandings and helps patients overcome them.

Drug addiction treatment is patient-centered. Substances affect people differently. Our treatments include a variety of components, programmes, and price points, all designed to break the cycle of addiction from the start.

UNDERSTANDING DRUG ADDICTION WITHDRAWALS

After long-term drug use, the body goes through withdrawal. Drug dependence can be physical or psychological. They depend on how long an addict has been abusing drugs, the type of drug they're addicted to, and the withdrawal method used. Alcohol, GHB, and prescription drugs can cause fatal withdrawal side effects.

The Hader Clinic provides a safe and comforting environment for patients to overcome withdrawal symptoms while undergoing drug addiction treatment. In addition to holistic care, we offer medically assisted detoxification monitored by a team of doctors. Our patients have the best long-term success.

HOW THE HADER CLINIC TREATS ALCOHOL ADDICTION

Alcoholism is pervasive, especially among youth. Due to alcohol's pervasiveness in modern culture, alcoholism is often unrecognised and untreated. Alcohol can cause addiction and harm to the addict and their family.

An all-encompassing addiction requires a holistic treatment approach. Private hospital Hader Clinic helps patients detox and manage withdrawal. After that, we give patients individualised treatment plans that take their budgets into account. Patients treated using this model have a good chance of recovering fully.

ALCOHOL ADDICTION AND WITHDRAWAL

Alcohol withdrawal is a potentially life-threatening process for patients who have been abusing alcohol regularly. The symptoms of alcohol withdrawal can be different for each individual patient, but the process is never as simple as "drying out."

After just one day without alcohol, patients can experience serious side effects like:

  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Shaking and tremors
  • Disturbed sleep
  • Excessive sweating

Seizures and hallucinations are possible side effects in the first few days of treatment for patients with severe conditions. Patients may even develop delirium tremens, a condition characterised by acute confusion and an increase in sympathetic activity that can lead to cardiac arrest.

The Hader Clinic is a medical centre dedicated to the treatment of alcoholism, where patients have access to doctors, nurses, and medication. We begin by addressing the physical manifestations of the addiction, and then move on to the underlying psychological issues that are driving them. When used together, these methods help patients move past initial rehabilitation and into later phases of healing.

ALCOHOL ADDICTION

ALCOHOL ADDICTION REHAB

Drugs include alcohol. It's perfectly legal, and not only does it come in pretty packaging, but it's also a mainstay at holiday parties, get-togethers with friends, and "Fun Friday" office get-togethers. Still, it's a drug and a major contributor to addiction in our region.

About 6,000 avoidable deaths occur annually in Australia due to alcohol. There are 3 million deaths annually because of alcohol (5.3% of all deaths). There are over 200 illnesses and injuries directly linked to alcohol abuse.

As with other drugs, alcohol can cause addiction and physical harm. Alcoholics and drug addicts share similar medical characteristics. As with other addictions, alcoholism is characterised by compulsive thoughts, actions, and symptoms. Simply because something is legal doesn't necessarily make it risk-free.

DRUG ADDICTION

DRUG ADDICTION REHAB

Addiction is a disease, not a moral failing. Addicts seek and use drugs in destructive, compulsive, and self-controlling ways. Addiction has far-reaching consequences for individuals, communities, and society at large.

Addiction is not a genetic disease. When someone is in the right place at the right time, they may be exposed to the drug that will ruin their life. Most drug use is impulsive and uninformed.

It's not uncommon to become dependent on alcohol, benzodiazepines, illegal drugs, opiates, sleeping pills, or stimulants.

INTENSIVE INPATIENT PROGRAM

Essential and all-encompassing method of helping people who have struggled with drug addiction. The programme is based on the research conducted by Drs. Patrick Carnes and Kevin McCauley and is intended to aid in the long-term maintenance of recovery for clients at high risk.

Substance abuse treatment, process groups, family groups, family workshops and consultations, counseling with clinical psychologists, psychiatric review only if necessary, and 12-step immersion are all part of the structured recovery programme.

Addiction Solutions Victoria - Drug & Alcohol Rehab Treatment Clinic Melbourne

Addiction Solutions: Drug And Alcohol Rehab Melbourne

Evidence-based, affordable rehabilitation services in Melbourne and Victoria.

Addiction Solutions Victoria (ASV) was founded in 2015 after many people realised and experienced sustained recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.

ASV treatment programmes and family support services provide evidence-based substance misuse/dependence (addiction) treatment, clinical support, psychological support, peer support, withdrawal and recovery support, and research-backed support for anyone whose life has been negatively impacted by someone else's drug or alcohol addiction.

Addiction is dependence on a substance or behaviour pattern. It usually means that a person's habit interferes with their social, familial, or health commitments and has been maintained for a long time despite the negative effects.

Effective therapy can help, but it's not always successful. Addiction can make a person appear powerless. Long-term change takes dedication and hard work.

Recovery is often defined as healing and making progress by recognising problems, breaking bad habits, and rebuilding. It's not easy, but it can be worth it in the long run for the insight and ability to live a physically and emotionally clean life.

To live happy, in-control lives, we must all do our best and seek help. Beyond alcoholics and drug addicts, rehabilitation should help others. ASV family support programmes help families and loved ones recognise and cope with substance use issues.

Our affordable drug and alcohol rehab programmes are run by knowledgeable and passionate industry experts. The ASV outpatient drug and alcohol addiction treatment programme was designed to help addicts change their behaviour.

Programs And Services Offered By ASV:

  • Assessment and Management of Addiction Medicine
  • Addiction Assessment and Management of Psychology
  • Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment Programs at Home
  • Peer Support and Mentoring in Psychotherapy and Counselling
  • On-going Recovery Assistance – Aftercare – Return to Life Program
  • Family Counseling
  • Family Support Program - for Addicts' Families

The Banyans - Melbourne's Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre

The Banyans

thebanyans.com.au

1300 226 926

The highest quality mental health care, individualised rehabilitation programmes, and general health improvement programmes available.

Our Approach To Recovery

The rehabilitation programme at The Banyans Health and Wellness is designed to help people get better and stay better for the rest of their lives. Through a combination of medical and biopsychosocial methods, The Banyans Health & Wellness is able to offer Australia's premier in-patient addiction treatment programme.

Addiction And Dependency

Addiction and dependence are not indicators of weakness or moral weakness. There's a lot going on, and you're definitely not alone in feeling this way.

Some people with addiction or dependency issues can still lead relatively normal lives at home and at work. However, it's likely that these actions are wreaking havoc on people's physical and mental health, leading to things like strained relationships, less productivity at work, a loss of happiness, and the onset of chronic diseases.

ALCOHOL DEPENDENCY

There should be no more than two standard drinks per day for adults, as stated by the National Drinking Guidelines in Australia. One possible indicator of alcohol abuse is routinely exceeding these recommendations, though there are many other symptoms that are characteristic of alcohol misuse.

DRUG ADDICTION AND DEPENDENCY

Substance abuse as a coping mechanism can lead to harmful, compulsive behaviours that have serious consequences for one's physical and mental health. Without proper treatment, addiction to both legal and illegal substances can be fatal.

Your Treating Team

Your direct medical support team at The Banyans will be led by Dr. Christian Rowan, an addiction medicine specialist. Reviews with Dr. Rowan (as clinically required), Dr. Anja Kreigeskotten (as required), and a staff of registered nurses ensure the highest possible standard of appropriate medical care.

DayHab - Drug and Alcohol Rehab Centre in Melbourne

Dayhab

A Leading Rehab Centre In Melbourne

DayHab Centre is a private hospital with campuses in Melbourne and the Gold Coast that provides addiction treatment. Treatment for problems with alcohol and drugs is the hospital's forte. We are a team of compassionate rehabilitation experts who are dedicated to providing each of our clients with the individual attention they deserve.

ABOUT US

THE LEADERS IN ADDICTION TREATMENT SERVICES

DayHab's intensive rehabilitation model changed addiction treatment. Years of hard work, experience, and research led to our successes. DayHab's evidence-based, best-practices-based approach to addiction recovery is cutting-edge.

Staff members show DayHab clients respect, consideration, and empathy. Our services are provided in a safe and encouraging environment, facilitating addiction treatment and healing.

American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) officials say the definition of addiction should be rethought in terms of the brain. Addiction affects the brain's reward circuitry, for example.

Memories of alcohol, food, sex, gambling, and other drugs can trigger cravings and addiction. Brain circuitry governing impulse control and judgement is also altered, resulting in the pursuit of meaningless rewards.

DayHab's treatment model is based on evidence that addiction is a disease and abstinence is the best way to manage it. We focus on the mind, body, and spirit as interconnected parts of a healthy life when treating addiction.

Every member of DayHab has worked in addiction treatment or mental health services in Australia for a long time. Each team member overcame substance abuse.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Daily attendance at DayHab Treatment Centre
  • All program content as per Day Program
  • Medical assessment by Addiction Medicine Specialist (when required)
  • Psychiatric assessment with Dr Ranvir Sood
  • Fresh meals prepared and cooked by residents.
  • Nightly 12 step meetings
  • Life skills support
  • Safe and secure drug and alcohol-free environment
  • Weekly visits from family and loved ones at the DayHab Treatment Centre
  • Aftercare planning and support
  • 24-hour support and care

TREATMENTS

ALCOHOL ADDICTION TREATMENT

In Australia, gathering with friends over a drink is a staple tradition that dates back many decades.

On the other hand, drinking to the point where it disrupts your personal life, career, or interests is not acceptable behaviour.

It's important to keep in mind that alcoholism, excessive drinking, binge drinking, and drinking-related problems are all terms that refer to the same underlying condition. If you're investing more time than money, it's time to do something about it.

DRUG ADDICTION TREATMENT

Substance use disorder, or drug addiction, affects both the brain and behaviour. This disease makes a person unable to control drug or medication use, leading to addiction.

Many people believe drug addicts lack moral principles, willpower, or discipline to 'quit the habit.' This is a drug myth.

Drug addiction is a multifaceted disease that requires more than willpower and determination. Addiction causes brain changes that make quitting hard. It's a relapsing disease, so people often return to drug use after several attempts to stop, especially if they don't get the right treatment or have the right plans. If they lack support, this is especially true.

Drug addiction affects thousands of Australians' social lives, economies, and health. Drug addiction causes personality changes, financial problems, alienation from peers, and an increased risk of developing diseases that can lead to disability or death.

DRUG ADDICTION TREATMENT IN MELBOURNE, VICTORIA

Clients who are struggling with drug addiction have access to treatment that restores their sense of agency at DayHab, a private hospital for addiction treatment. We provide effective drug therapy treatments that encourage long-term recovery and a sense of meaning and value in the lives of our patients.

Marijuana, prescription pills, cocaine, and ecstasy are the most widely used illicit drugs today. Quite a few Australians either struggle with substance abuse themselves or watch friends and family members fight the battle. There's still reason to believe. DayHab offers programmes for both outpatients and those living in residential facilities. Our approach is multifaceted, targeting the addict on multiple levels (physical, mental, and emotional).

FINDING AN EFFECTIVE TREATMENT THAT LEADS TO A DRUG-FREE STATE

Disheartening drug addiction statistics. Personal experiences may make drug addiction seem insurmountable. Scientific research shows effective treatment programmes can lead to recovery.

No single method treats addiction for everyone. Recovering clients need treatment for all needs, not just drug use. Treatments include counselling and behavioural therapy.

Behavioral therapy follows drug detoxification. Treatment plans must be constantly monitored and modified to meet the client's needs.

Seahaven Can Help With Addiction.

Services

ADULT THERAPEUTIC COMMUNITY

Program Overview

  • Twenty beds are available in a residential facility in Victoria's picturesque Grampians. The Windana Therapeutic Community is the name of this establishment. The three-month duration of the programme at Windana's Grampians TC is intended to allow for completion.
  • The therapeutic and educational components of the community as method approach that Windana employs benefit residents who engage in self-help and mutual-help activities.
  • We strongly advise our guests to refrain from smoking throughout their stay because this is a smoke-free establishment.
  • As soon as you get to the TC, you'll be able to make a call to a loved one to let them know you've made it home safely. In that case, you won't be able to speak to anyone at work for the first two weeks, with the exception of any children who are financially dependent on you. It is crucial that you inform them of this before going to the TC so that they won't be concerned that you won't be in touch.
  • Residents are only permitted to bring in things that are easily portable on their own. You are only permitted to bring a maximum of two bags or one large suitcase with you due to the limited storage space in the cupboards; a list of what to bring will be provided at the time of the evaluation.
  • Customers will be able to request personal shopping after two weeks have passed and the programme is over.

You'll be using our brand-new, expanded facility, and to help you get there, we have some fantastically affordable options. The time to start living a sober life is now. We will arrange for transportation to and from the airport from anywhere in Australia.

Your Foundation For Recovery…

Your drug and alcohol recovery programme at Habitat is based on three cornerstones. 12-step philosophy, family involvement, and relapse prevention are cornerstones. First, you'll need residential treatment to address the factors that led to your addiction.

Counseling and Education teaches you the skills and knowledge you need to live a clean and sober life using the 12 Steps.

Your recovery programs are based on proven recovery methods, and during your stay at one of our facilities, you will:

  • Participate in community living with other clients.
  • Undergo individual and group counselling sessions.
  • Participate in further study to gain an understanding of addiction.
  • Attend external 12 step meetings regularly.
  • Participate in exercise programs to get your body, mind and spirit functioning in unison.

ACT, Group Therapy, and CBT will be used to identify and modify maladaptive behaviours.

In Geelong, we treat alcohol, ice, cocaine, heroin, and other drug addicts (a short drive from Melbourne). We encourage clients to come from Adelaide or Sydney because it's usually a good idea to get away from one's own environment and triggers.

Our multidimensional recovery approach is the most comprehensive treatment programme on the market, so we stand out. Residential treatment for substance abuse and alcoholism, plus supportive housing.

Drug & Alcohol Rehab In Melbourne

We believe our programme is one of Australia's most effective and comprehensive.

Melbourne's residential drug and alcohol treatment programme is effective. 70% of programme graduates have maintained drug and alcohol abstinence.

Geelong, Victoria's facility encourages drug or alcohol addicts to travel from other states or Melbourne to escape triggers and focus on recovery.

High success rate in treating alcoholism, ice, heroin, cocaine, speed, and other drug addictions.

All cities and states are welcome (Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Cairns, Townsville, Perth & beyond)

We offer airport pickup and dropoff for out-of-state customers.

Global research informs our programmes. We recommend 90 days of treatment. With this length of stay, Habitat can correct maladaptive behaviours, provide extensive counselling, and teach drug and alcohol addicts lifelong sobriety. Offsite AA and NA meetings are a daily part of the programme because membership provides lifelong support.

Clients can't always stay 90 days. 30-day and 60-day programmes available. We can accommodate time and budget constraints. Even with our shorter programmes, you'll leave drug- and alcohol-free.

21Renew's innovative approach to substance abuse treatment is unique. We have over 36 years of experience in recovery, so we can create a unique, individualised approach for each client.

We know what works because we've researched it and told thousands of alcoholics and addicts. To help you become the best version of yourself, we created a 21-day programme with lifelong results.

Through our life-changing and confidential programme, these individuals and their families can take steps towards a brighter future.

Millions of people around the world are battling issues related to their drug use. Most won't get help. Therapy saves lives. It could save your or a loved one's life.

ALCOHOL ABUSE & ADDICTION

Alcoholism is difficult to diagnose because it depends on the drinker's candour.

It can be difficult to admit that your alcohol use is a problem when you're still able to keep many aspects of your life together.

METH ADDICTION

SYMPTOMS AND TREATMENT

Ice, or crystal meth, is an extremely addictive stimulant drug.

A stimulant, its chemical effects are on those in the brain that cause hyperactivity.

It's a stimulant with rapid onset and long-lasting effects, making users feel happy for hours or even days. Dopamine levels in the brain are increased by meth, leading to a sense of superiority in the user. Which means the pattern will persist. Abuse, addiction, overdose, and potentially fatal outcomes are all possible because more must be taken to achieve the same effect.

Due to the use of other chemicals in its production, synthetic meth is extremely harmful. In sufficient quantities, acetone, bleach, battery acid, and engine coolant are all deadly.

Meth addiction can feel hopeless, both for the addict and their loved ones. There is a high likelihood of living an out-of-control lifestyle with deteriorating health and volatile emotions. You are not alone, even if it sometimes seems that way. Every day, countless individuals avoid unnecessary suffering by narrowly escaping its clutches.

Many meth users are terrified of going through withdrawal because of how difficult and painful it can be. Meth withdrawal is difficult and often requires the help of a medical professional. The withdrawal process is monitored and controlled during detox with 21Renew or at one of the centres we recommend, which helps to ease the symptoms of withdrawal.

Addiction Treatment Program

The physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual facets of addiction will all be taken into account as the programme aims to treat the whole person in their environment.

Substitution You and your doctor can discuss possible pharmacotherapeutic options as part of your treatment.

Each and every one of these plans targets the underlying causes of addiction, both behavioural and psychological. With supportive loved ones nearby, the patient can take charge of his or her own recovery.

REHABILITATION PLAN

After recommending rehabilitation services, the Coordinator will call to schedule an evaluation. Pre-admission evaluations can be in person or over the phone, depending on the patient's preference or case complexity. If you're in detox, talk to your doctor and the Unit Manager as soon as possible about transferring directly to rehab. This can be affected by the number of ward beds and the complexity of individual cases.

Bali Luxury Alcohol Addiction Treatment

When compared to addiction to illegal narcotics, alcohol addiction (also known as alcoholism) can be more challenging to diagnose. This is because, unlike illegal narcotics, alcohol is socially acceptable in many nations. Many people have doubts about their alcoholism, and this can keep them from getting the help they need to live a more fulfilling life.

According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, a person is diagnosed with an alcohol use disorder if they display two or more of the following symptoms:

  • Alcohol consumption in larger amounts or for longer periods of time than planned is a common practise.
  • There is a constant need to reduce or better manage alcohol consumption, as well as futile attempts.
  • The steps that must be taken in order to obtain alcohol, consume alcohol, or recover from its effects all require a significant amount of time.
  • The word "craving" has several definitions, one of which is a strong urge or desire to consume alcohol.
  • Regular alcohol use makes it challenging to fulfil significant obligations, whether at work, school, or home.
maintaining alcohol consumption despite persistent or frequent issues with social or interpersonal interactions that are brought on by or made worse by alcohol's effects
  • Significant social, professional, or recreational activities are either completely abandoned because of alcohol use, or they are drastically scaled back.
regular alcohol use while being in potentially dangerous circumstances

They continue to drink alcohol despite the fact that they are aware that alcohol is likely to have been the cause of, or at least an aggravating factor in, a persistent or recurring physical or psychological problem that they have.

Our treatment programme for alcoholism comes with a number of benefits, including the following:

  • There can never be more than six residents at once, allowing for a highly individualised approach to treatment to be used in a comforting and loving environment.
  • At this facility, there are two on-site clinical psychologists and a sizable clinical staff who have experience treating addiction as well as knowledge of comorbid disorders like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and depression.
  • According to best practises for clinical care and safety, there is nursing staff on duty at the facility every day of the week, 24 hours a day.

VincentCare - Melbourne Rehab and Treatment Centre

Vincent Care

About Us

VincentCare provides the best support services to Victoria's homeless and socially disadvantaged.

VincentCare was founded in 2003 to extend the St. Vincent de Paul Society's Christian mission to help Victoria's poor.

VincentCare's purpose, vision, mission, and values centre on people experiencing or at risk of primary homelessness.

Since 1953, we've helped Victoria's homeless.

VincentCare Community Housing (VCCH), a VincentCare subsidiary, manages 180 Transitional Housing Properties for the Director of Housing. VincentCare Community Housing provides housing.

VincentCare realised a decade ago that new ways of working with Victoria's most vulnerable residents were needed.

The board developed a cutting-edge care model after consulting with patients, using evidence, and understanding the external operating environment and global trends. This model of care became our 2012-2015 Strategic Directions. VincentCare is aware that many factors can lead to homelessness and that our clients often have complex issues. Traumatic experiences and homelessness are inextricably linked.

To stay true to VincentCare's purpose and aspiration, our strategic direction must first give clients hope by addressing conditions that can lead to homelessness, then empower clients to develop robust, supported pathways to stable housing and independent living in the communities of their choice. Only then can we say we've followed VincentCare's mission and vision.

Since 2018, this has become the Homelessness to Recovery model.

VincentCare is committed to social justice, and one of its goals is to ensure that everyone is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of ability, culture, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, or religion.

There are different streams to help your needs. These include:

COUNSELLING

Clients can attend sessions individually or in groups, and sessions can take place in person, via phone, or online.

NON-RESIDENTIAL WITHDRAWAL

When you need time away from the group but don't want to give up getting help from the community, retreating can help.

RESIDENTIAL WITHDRAWAL

Supervised detoxification in a medical facility or residential setting is an excellent option for people who have complex needs or who cannot withdraw from substances at home due to instability.

RESIDENTIAL REHABILITATION

A residential programme where residents can live in a safe environment with others going through similar struggles, and where the primary focus is on counseling and peer support.

CARE AND RECOVERY COORDINATION

for people who are extremely vulnerable and need help coordinating the many services and programmes they must take part in.

THERAPEUTIC DAY REHABILITATION

Like residential rehabilitation, but with the added benefit of allowing patients to continue living at home while they heal.

PHARMACOTHERAPY

If you need help decreasing or discontinuing your use of prescription medication in order to successfully quit, a worker will provide that assistance while you receive counselling or other services.

YOUTH SERVICES

When helping people under the age of 25, these services prioritise the inclusion of family members whenever possible. Along with mental health care, they help manage the individual's use of other services, like education and child protection.

ABORIGINAL SERVICES

Similar to how youth services are aimed at young people, Aboriginal services cater to those who self-identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Programs are delivered in a culturally sensitive manner with a primary focus on reducing substance abuse and preventing the negative consequences that can result from heavy drinking and drug use.

Betel Shalom Australia - Drug & Alcohol Rehab Melbourne

Betel Shalom

Drug Rehab Melbourne

Betel Shalom Australia is an alcohol and drug rehab centre in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

We offer a holistic rehabilitation programme that restores the resident's finances, relationships, heart health, employment, education, and future training. This includes heart life.

Our programme emphasises real-world application and participation so Betel Shalom residents and others can become respected and productive community members. We're here to help anyone whose life is being controlled by alcohol, drugs, anxiety, fear, or emotional trauma.

We use the programme at Shalom House in Perth, Australia's most rigors rehab centre (with their permission). Betel Shalom has strict rules and non-negotiable boundaries. This ensures that residents move through the programme quickly and get the most from it.

Peter Lyndon-James, founder of Shalom House, spent 26 years addicted. He understands the need for rehab and how hard it is to overcome life-controlling issues. In response, Shalom House was founded. Peter was institutionalised at age 9 and has battled drug addiction ever since.

His family is broken. His attempt to escape slavery gave him a lot of insight. Peter uses his newfound knowledge to help others escape the chains that enslaved him.

The Betel Shalom rehabilitation centre in Victoria is based on Christian principles and can care for up to 40 patients at two locations. Our clients' progress and care are our top priorities, so our staff and volunteers give their all.

THE 5 STAGES

STAGE ONE

Betel Shalom's first phase lasts a quarter of a year.

The client adjusts to the environment, routine, people, programme, and procedures. We both get to know the client. Detoxing from drugs or medications is also required.

Many people who enrol in Betel Shalom have a history of substance addiction or a solitary lifestyle. When someone feels at home in a new environment depends on their personality, culture, and history.

At Betel Shalom, we have 20 programmes, each tailored to a different resident.

STAGE TWO

We map clients' futures after 12 weeks. We support residents' goals. We believe it's possible to start a business, attend TAFE, and complete an apprenticeship.

Residents can work when ready. We assist newcomers.

Depending on your progress and attitude, you can start two days a week of paid work after 12 weeks. Being on the same page means providing a safe working environment for our residents, making sure they're not paired with someone struggling with addiction or other issues that would rub off. Income helps residents. We pay fines and debts. We get licences, cars, etc.

This gradual return to work helps us monitor their application of Betel Shalom lessons. We can reduce if we're worried. This balance shows if they're making good decisions and behaving well.

STAGE THREE

Third-stage residents will increase their outside work for pay and their networking with former residents. The resident is welcome to get a cell phone and may come and go from the Betel Shalom property freely until 8:30 p.m.

This gives the resident more independence, but also makes them more accountable to the Betel Shalom administration. They learn to be self-reliant even as they continue to receive guidance and support in the face of difficult situations.

STAGE FOUR

By this point, the resident has acquired a great deal of freedom and independence, and can choose how to conduct their own lives. We trust that the resident is working hard, spending time with loved ones, and contributing to society at large. On the weekends, they have a later curfew (9:30) and more freedom.

We value mentoring as an integral part of our programme and encourage all of our senior residents to give back by setting a good example for our younger residents and helping to preserve the Betel Shalom tradition.

STAGE FIVE

Rather than staying in the primary residence, at Stage 5 the resident has the option of moving into a shared living space with other seniors. The inhabitant is now responsible for their own life and is actively shaping it in the direction they want to go. From a few months to a few years, this phase may linger. It is possible that random drug testing will be required during this time as we continue to monitor the resident's progress.

The residents will need to demonstrate that they have internalised all of the facility's emphases on ethical and behavioural principles before moving on to the next phase of the programme. How well they deal with the temptations they face on a daily basis and how they treat the people who matter to them will determine whether or not they are prepared for the next step.

GRADUATION

Residents who feel they are ready to leave Betel Shalom and have demonstrated their ability to live on their own must submit a written application. Each prospective resident will be interviewed and their application will be reviewed to guarantee they have the resources they need to succeed.

We look at a number of criteria before allowing a participant to leave a programme. It is our sincere wish that they will make good use of their Betel Shalom education and go on to make positive contributions to their community. Graduating someone is a public statement that you value and respect their efforts and that you have faith they won't revert to their old ways.

The family at Betel Shalom is very proud of their new graduate. Even after leaving residency, the resident will feel supported by a large network that includes friends, mentors, counsellors, and family.

First Step - Addiction Outpatient Clinic Melbourne

First Step

firststep.org.au

03 9537 3110

First Step is the only outpatient addiction and mental health clinic with a fully integrated legal service. We've helped tens of thousands of disadvantaged Victorians and their families for 20 years.

Our clients' family, professional, and educational responsibilities help them lead stable lives. Our multidisciplinary team specialises in helping people with complex needs, such as those facing mental illness hospitalisation, incarceration, homelessness, or worse.

First Step believes chronic addiction is a painful adaptation to childhood trauma and neglect, and that prompt and effective treatment benefits everyone. Addiction is a treatable disease, too.

We work hard to help people maintain family and community ties and retain control over their lives.

First Step is Australia's first mental health and addiction hub, which comes as governments and health professionals emphasise interprofessional "hubs." Our unique idea will be featured in the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System's final report in 2021. The Productivity Commission investigated.

Life Reset

First Step is pleased to offer the abstinence-focused group therapy option of the ResetLife Program at no cost to those who are struggling with alcohol or drug dependency of any kind.

Matrix refers to the ResetLife outpatient treatment programme in the United States. The sessions in this programme range from one-on-one to those with the entire family, and they are all intensive and well-structured.

Through guided role-playing and other experiential methods, clients learn and practise skills that will help them regain control over their substance use.

For those willing to go further in their recovery, First Step is happy to offer the ResetLife therapy modality. First Step uses this method because they want to reduce any unintended consequences as much as possible.

Successful implementation of this programme is made possible by the fact that the ResetLife team has the full support of experts in the fields of addiction, mental health, and even legal matters.

It's great news for First Step and the industry as a whole that opportunities like these exist and can be taken advantage of.

Our Rehabilitation Programs

We provide programmes for recovery and methods for treating a variety of illnesses that fall into the following three broad categories:

ADDICTION AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE

It is possible to overcome and maintain sobriety from addiction to alcohol, prescription drugs, and illegal drugs.

MENTAL HEALTH

Compromised Low self-esteem, genetic predisposition, interpersonal relationship issues, environmental stresses, and other underlying conditions often contribute to the development of non-event-specific mental health problems like trauma and grief.

GRIEF, TRAUMA, AND PTSD

Although our reactions to illness can vary greatly, and although the course, severity, and duration of an illness can vary from person to person, recovery is always possible.

ALCOHOL

The disease of alcoholism is characterised by a person's emotional and/or physical reliance on alcohol. It's a common coping mechanism for dealing with tough situations like loss, trauma, stress, or pressure. Addiction to alcohol can develop in people for a variety of reasons, including a lack of emotional resilience, low self-esteem, problems in the situation, context, and environment, and more.

Because Noosa Confidential helps people deal with their issues in healthy and productive ways, they won't feel the need to drink to cope.

No matter which programme you choose, you can rest assured that it will be tailored specifically to you in order to help you overcome your alcoholism.

We can offer the highest level of individualised service in Australia when we have no more than five guests at a time.

If you or a loved one needs assistance, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

Connection Based Living - Drugs & Alcohol Addiction Rehab Services, Melbourne

Connection Based Living

connectionbasedliving.com.au

OUR WHY - Ethos

According to the principles of recovery espoused by Connectivity Centered Livings, one must be happy, feel happy, and have a general sense of peace and contentment before considering themselves to be in a state of recovery.

Modern addiction treatment and rehabilitation, in our opinion, suffers from systemic problems, fails to deliver desirable outcomes, and should be enhanced. We intend to become the world's most results-oriented provider of addiction solutions, and to that end, we'll stop at nothing to help those who are committed to making positive changes in their lives.

We show people how incorporating the recovery equation into their way of life can lead to positive changes.

With the help of the connection-based living recovery method, individuals are able to break free from addictive behaviours and instead live full, meaningful lives.

We refer to this method, which we call "Connection Based Living," as a "formula" for facilitating recovery, transformation, and altered lives. It is not by chance that people recover; rather, there is a specific recipe that, when followed, leads to recovery, transformation, and altered lives.

Areas Of Expertise

Addiction and the abuse of substances

Daily heavy alcohol or drug use increases the risk of dependency. This hinders their ability to go about their daily lives normally. Substance abuse and addiction are diseases with far-reaching consequences for a person's physical health, relationships, and mental and emotional well-being.

Substance abuse can cause irreversible damage to the brain and other organs, as well as a variety of behavioural changes. It's a major contributor to the onset of mental illness.

Treatment for substance abuse and addiction varies depending on the nature of the substance being abused and the severity of the addiction. Psychiatric and psychological care, self-help and support group participation, and interventions from mental health professionals are all potential components of treatment.

At Albert Road Clinic, How Do We Treat Addiction?

The Albert Road Clinic treats patients with substance abuse, mental illness, and problematic addictive behaviours.

The Addictions Service provides residential treatment, detoxification, day patient rehabilitation, and prevention programmes. All involve a thorough evaluation.

This service uses the Stages of Change Model, which focuses on quality of life, seeking support, healthy stress reactions, and personal functioning in addition to substance dependence.

The following are some of the components that make up the integrated therapeutic model:

  • CBT, or cognitive behavioural therapy, is a method of treating mental health conditions that emphasises problem-solving through action and task-orientation.
  • The term "Motivation Enhancement Therapy," or "MET," refers to a technique that helps people get over their anxiety about starting treatment and quitting using drugs.
  • Candidates for psychoeducation, which is the process of educating and informing those who are looking for or receiving treatment for mental health, are those who need or are receiving treatment for mental health.
  • Through group psychotherapy, people can discover new things about themselves, which helps them get better at interacting with others.

The programme works closely with referring doctors to reduce the risk of relapse for patients. This ensures that patients get the best care possible.

Break the Cycle of Addiction and Live Addiction Free

Working one-on-one with addicts to achieve their unique goals or meeting with them for a set number of sessions to determine the severity of their addiction and refer them to the best service or treatment centre in Victoria or elsewhere in Australia is where my expertise lies.

Gender, drug of choice, sexual orientation, mental health concerns, co-occurring addictions, availability of resources, and ability to pay are all considered before a referral is made. Addiction treatment is my forte. The two areas in which I excel are providing one-on-one care to addicts while maintaining a safe environment for everyone involved, and

REFERRALS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR DETOX & REHAB

Successfully counselling addicts and alcoholics one-on-one, I am sometimes asked by clients where and how they can find the best treatment centre. Clients with a history of substance abuse, psychosis, or criminal behaviour may be denied admission. As part of the process, you might have to fill out some paperwork, go through detox, or attend a Q&A.

In any case, I am here to help. With my extensive background in such healthcare facilities, I can help you save both time and money. Because of these "hurdles," some of the people I see are tempted to give up on treatment. You can find medical care waiting lists in Victoria, as well. The patient may experience distress and frustration as a result of the facility's unique requirements; however, these are essential to ensure that each facility has the necessary resources and personnel to care for the client.

To avoid "killing time" until treatment or putting yourself at risk through drug or alcohol use, we may schedule several sessions together to 1) find the best treatment facility, 2) complete paperwork and attend to other needs, 3) arrange the best detox unit in Melbourne or Sydney for your needs, and 4) prepare you for entry into your chosen facility.

Stuart Fenton

I've got the credentials of a clinical psychotherapist and a licenced counsellor, plus the experience of having kicked my own alcohol and drug habits. Because I know what it's like to be an addict, I can see the world through their eyes and empathise with their struggles.

About Us

OUR STORY

Our years of experience as mentors and professionals led us to the conclusion that not all people's personalities are well-suited to the standard recovery process. Among the people we met were those who were eager to make positive changes in their lives but lacked the time or resources to undergo the months of treatment necessary to do so.

We saw an opportunity to create a programme that would help these people find recovery and make sure they wouldn't fall through the cracks in the system, instead of letting them revert back to their abusive behaviour.

Services

RECOVERY COACHING

Having a personal recovery coach can help you avoid relapsing into substance abuse by encouraging you to make healthy lifestyle changes and teaching you new skills.

COUNSELLING

Conversations with a trusted individual can help you gain the self-awareness and wisdom to break free from addiction.

24/7 CHAPERONE

Those at risk of relapsing or experiencing difficult times in their lives have access to a Chaperone who is available around the clock for support.

REHABILITATION

Our established connections with Australia's premier treatment centres allow us to take the guesswork out of locating the best possible centre for you or a loved one. Completing this procedure can be difficult and time-consuming even under ideal conditions due to the existence of waiting lists and delays in receiving callbacks. Getting the right care at the right time is stressful, but we can make the process easier and more efficient for you.

INTERVENTION

We work with certified therapists to help roll out interventions when needed. Meetings like these, which are facilitated, can provide the spark needed to kick off the recovery process, which can then be continued with additional measures like therapy or even rehabilitation.
