7 Reasons to go out for Christmas Day Lunch in Melbourne

The Brighton Savoy has been hosting our annual Christmas Day Lunch at the hotel for over 47 years. Every year it gives me such pleasure to see familiar faces joining the Brighton Savoy to celebrate Christmas Day or night with us.

The planning involved in hosting such a special day starts in May, with the confirmation of menus, preparation of brochures, booking the entertainment, and creating to-do lists to ensure that no element of the day is forgotten – turkeys, cranberry sauce, bonbons, fruit mince pies, nothing is left to chance.

So why not come out and enjoy a fully serviced traditional Christmas lunch, starting with our seafood entree, followed by delicious, traditional, juicy, roasted breast of turkey and cranberry sauce, and finish up with plum pudding and brandy custard and fruit mince pies.

Here are my seven reasons to go out for Christmas Lunch

1.No family arguments.

Rather than having a family argument about whose turn it is to host Christmas Lunch, just pick up the phone or jump online and make a booking for the whole family.

2. Choose your atmosphere.

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon, with your choice of atmosphere, a bay view with ambient background music or family friendly environment with a three piece band to dance or just sing along to.

3. You are not a Masterchef.

Preparing a Christmas lunch for a small or large group is a daunting task for the uninitiated, with modern kitchen’s getting smaller, some ovens can’t even fit a large turkey, let alone all the other trimmings, so why stress, let us do the work for you.

4. You are not a pot washer.

So what happens when you have done all the cooking and served lunch, you are left having to do the washing up and dishes, our team of six dish and pot washers are on hand to do this, so you can relax.

5. All inclusive pricing including beverages – no additional charges

The Brighton Savoy’s lunch package is fully inclusive of our traditional three course lunch, wines, beers and soft drink, so there is nothing left to pay on the day. Join us, sit back and enjoy.

6. Make new friends

Christmas Day is my favourite day of the year at the hotel, because everyone is in such a festive mood. It’s great to see people interact, make new friends and spread the Christmas cheer.

7. Stay overnight

Enjoy Christmas Eve in one of our four star hotel rooms, enjoy the serene beauty of Brighton Beach with a Christmas morning walk, and then join us for a festive traditional Christmas Lunch.
