Our guests all raved about the quality of the food and even happily did take away. We were married in the loft and had about 170 guests. Kate, Alex and Sophia were fantastic and the whole day was well managed. We will be definitely going back to celebrate our anniversaries!

The owners and staff are incredibly hands on and were more than willing to help with everything we needed, and were great with communicating in the build up to our stay.
The picturesque setting is second to none, with numerous walks/hikes to enjoy, and the dam – with a zip line running over it – was a definite hit.

1. Availability
If you you selected your wedding date in advance, its essential to ensure the venue you are looking at is available on that date. If you are flexible, you may wish to narrow down your search for your wedding date to a particular day of the week, or month,
2. Venue Capacity
In the planning stages it is a good idea to start making a provisional guest list. You may need to have discussions with family and parents to establish who is going to make it on the list. Once these discussions have taken place you are now in a better position to establish if the venue you are looking at can accommodate your guest number. There is little point looking at venues that have a capacity of 50 guests when you have 300 on your list,.
3. Cost
It is important to understand each venue, its pricing structure and package costs. What costs are included, and what potentially hidden fees are there. If you are booking a DIY venue there can be so many costs that you may not have considered, from tables, chairs, table clothes to ice, toilets and power generators.
4. Deposit & Payment terms
Its is important to understand what the deposit amount is, and whether additional payments or deposits are required along the way. It is beneficial to fully understand the cancellation policy in the unfortunate event that the wedding needs to be postponed or cancelled.
5. Logistics
Many venues operate under different rules and based on there location create there own set of issues. Are there noise restrictions for music or DJ's. Can you only access a venue at certain times. Are Taxi's or does uber operate near the venue. Nothing is worse that you guests not being able to find there way home.
6. Accommodation
Does the venue have accommodation on site or nearby for guests or the Bridal party. Is a bridal suite available for wedding night accommodation?
7. Car Parking
For those guests who are travelling to the venue, is parking available, and is it free or paid. Parking can be an expensive add on in some locations or venues. Will there be someone to show your guests where to go from the car park? If you have friends and family living all over town it is important they will have somewhere to park. Ask your venue car-parking questions to prevent Grandma from having to park her car a few miles from your reception!
