Hi Michael,
I didn’t know someone could become a managing director and not know how to spell the word. Wishing you well, too.

Hi XXXXX
Thank you for your kind feedback in relation to my spelling.
I suggest considering reading the following book http://www.amazon.com/How-Win-Friends-Influence-People/dp/0671027034
I personally found the book very helpful on my Journey to being a “managing director”.
Warm regards
Michael Lee
Managing Director
PS: Here is a response from another candidate who received the same email.
Thank you for your response Michael. In this day and age with so many applicants for so few positions, it’s nice to meet an employer with the courtesy to reply to my application. I appreciate that. Please could you keep my CV on file, should another suitable position become available in the future?

I’m glad you found wisdom in a book!
I can direct you to a few more, if you’d like. It appears as though you have the time for them. Most “managing directors” I know don’t have the time to tell me about books they’ve read (and neither do they reply to job applicants because specialist hr people do that)!
