GETTING AROUND

Melbourne is famed for its tram network. Travelling all around the city and throughout the inner suburbs, they’re super easy to get on and relatively simple to figure out where it is going. They are also free to catch anywhere within the CBD ‘grid’. The bad is, outside of the CBD, you need an ‘MYKI’ card to catch, which can only be purchased at 7/11 stores, online or some tram/train stations. It’s a pain in the ass you can’t just pay to travel as you go, but them’s the breaks. ‘Breaks’ also being the operative word, as many drivers use them regularly and without warning. Hold onto a pole, or you’ll fly down the corridor. Trams also pack out after work, so best to avoid between 5-7 pm on weekdays. Taxis and Uber’s are always available, and handy when you want to head to the many bars and hotspots that exist outside of the city. It will cost you about 70 bucks to get a cab from the airport too. You could get the shuttle, or you could realize life is too short to sit on a bus to save $40.

CULTURE VULTURE

Melbourne is the sporting capital, and as a result, you’ll find something to attend most weekends if you look hard enough. Sport; from footy at the ‘G, the round ball across the road at AAMI, cricket in the Summer or horse racing out at Flemington, sport is the lifeblood of Melbourne life. What Is Bubble Soccer? 

Bubble Soccer is a relatively new sport, physically demanding, however, provides exciting and laugh out loud fun for everyone. It involves being strapped into an inflatable soccer ball and running around playing a full-contact game of Soccer. In addition to Soccer, we also run other games in the bubbles, including Bulldog, Sumo, Volleyball and more.

What do we offer?

We offer a fully mobile incursion, activation and events service, where we can travel to your desired location, be it your own private property, school, outdoor space or an indoor sports venue. Otago kitchen was launched in Richmond, Melbourne, Australia in July 2014, with the goal of celebrating the rich and varied cooking experiences of Melbourne’s immigrant multicultural communities. Its founder, Chef Ha Nguyen, originally from Hanoi, shares his passion for food, instructing customers in the exotic diaspora of Asian and around the world cuisine.

Otago kitchen is named after Ông Táo, the Vietnamese Kitchen God. Ông Táo is regarded as the advocate of Vietnamese families to the gods and a messenger between Heaven and Earth. In preparation for a prosperous year, Vietnamese families clean their homes and polish their silver. During the New Year celebrations, Ông Táo comes to serve as the Kitchen God to Vietnamese families. As the old year ends, he flys back to Heaven on a magic carp reporting on each family’s life and experiences over the past year to the Jade Emperor, the King of Heaven. Ông Táo is regarded as a family member, and various prayers and offerings are brought to him at the family altar.

ON THE DAY

Our bucks' cooking events are 2-4 hours in length depending on your package. We handle all the food, drink and equipment even aprons so you and your guests can enjoy the bonding time together.

We begin with a complimentary refresher while guests are arriving. You are introduced to the chef for the day. We prep for one hour. Then the bucks together cook all the dishes. Expect to work solo or in a small team of 2,3,4 or 5 people depending on the menu you selected. 

Once the chopping and cutting are finished, we invite you to have a drink and celebrate new flavours, exotic ingredients, cooking, drinking, eating and sharing your creations around a large kitchen table.

With a collective passion and drive for providing thrill-seeking, cardio-intensive recreational activities we stumbled upon a LARP (Live Action Role Playing) community in Adelaide, we witnessed some of the most exciting and intense battles between steel-clad warriors and Robin Hood-esque archers hailing arrows from the sky.
