Conferencing in Melbourne

Brighton Savoy has been hosting conferences and meetings for many years when I go back and look at archival photos of events and seminars held at Brighton Savoy, the one thing that struck me was that while decor and fashion has changed, the set up of a meeting conference room really hasn’t changed much at all, But when you scratch the surface a lot has changed

The following image was taken in the early 1950’s and I think is almost a historical depiction of times gone by.

The Similarities…..we still train in a u-shape

The Differences

  • Can you see the ashtrays on the table
  • The reel to reel recorder, now replaced by LCD Screen or Data Projectors
  • The well dressed delegates, suit and tie for all
  • The blotters in front of each delegate, for fountain pens
Brighton Savoy Conference

So whilst delegates in a meeting room all may still sit in a U-shape, or cabaret setup in 2017,  Its the Service , Experience, People , and technology that become part of the modern training environment, in conjunction with:

  • Meeting rooms with natural light and airflow
  • quality Nespresso coffee – three blends including decaf,
  • a selection or regular and herbal teas
  • variety of healthy options when it come to the provision of catering
  • Free broadband wifi,
  • Free parking
  • Great beachside location
These are some of the features of Brighton Savoy’s Melbourne Conference Day Package available in the conference and meeting rooms located in Melbourne’s southern suburbs of bayside Brighton
